Hi,

I wan to create FILE into mainframe.
I read Oracle file , connect REMOTE subserver (mainframe) but how can i save the file, VSAM or CSV ? is it possible ?

Maybe with this example:
TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT MODEL
ON TABLE HOLD AS FIC01
END

-MRNOEDIT BEGIN
REMOTE DEST=&SERVER
-REMOTE BEGIN

DYNAM ALLOC FILE FIC02 DD TEST.FIC02.VSAM SPACE 20,20 CYLS NEW
-RUN

TABLE FILE FIC01
PRINT MODEL
ON TABLE HOLD AS FIC02 FORMAT ALPHA ?
END
-RUN

I don't believe that you can push to the mainframe as a CSV or VSAM.

You can pull it though. You just need to create a synonym of the file FIC01 on the mainframe, adn then TABLE it in the REMOTE statements.

I will allocate MVS file PAMSGC.GB.FA0.EDA.VMS01
Create Master file, SUFFIX=FIX and use dataset Command.

I will test this fex, but my mvs file is always empty. Any suggestion ?

Two things.

1. You have REMOTE DEST inside your REMOTE BEGIN/END.
This should be outside, it tells the REMOTe command where to send the code.

2. To pull data, you need to have a PCHOLD in the code.

e.g. Via PCHOLD
REMOTE DEST remotesrv
REMOTE USER ???
REMOTE PASS ???
-REMOTE BEGIN
TABLE FILE MYFILE
...
ON TABLE PCHOLD AS MYTMPFILE
END
-REMOTE END
-RUN
TABLE FILE MYTMPFILE
...
END


e.g. Via Synonym.

Create a master on the dest server, to do this you need to define a Remote Server, then you can create a synonym for the file.

Then simply:
TABLE FIULE remotefile
...
END
