Presetting Objects on a Maintain Form and JS Grid with JavaScript
By Mark Derwin

Maintain has always been able to use JavaScript to make changes to a WinForm before the form is displayed. This is helpful if you want to change the color, font or size of text or an object. It is also helpful if you want to test on a value on the form and hide or display certain objects.

Information Builders also gives you an easy way to preset the display of the JavaScript Grid. With this technique, you can change the foreground and background colors or fonts of individual cells, columns or rows. This article discusses how to use these techniques and gives you examples of both the technique to use JavaScript to operate on the form and the technique to use JavaScript to operate on the grid.
