I have installed WebFOCUS 8+ developer studio in a Windows 7 machine... Just the developer studio, not the server.

I am trying to get into the localhost environment in developer studio, but it is asking for an user ID, Password... Is there any generic user ID password to be used with WebFOCUS 8.

I am able to get into the reporting server console, create and run procedures there. But not able to get into the localhost enivronment in developer studio.

Please let me know, how to get into the localhost environment or projects in Localhot in WebFOCUS 8 developer studio?

Thanks,
Ram.

Launch your DS by running as an administrator. Try with admin/admin

Thanks for the reply Rifaz..

I tried "admin admin" "admin PASSWORD EMPTY" and few other combinations.. It din't work either.

I am the administrator of the machine, and I am starting the Workspace using "Start Security OFF"..

Still It is asking for an user id and password.

Thanks,

Ramkumar.

So, you're not even able to login using admin/admin in URL
http://localhost:8080/ibi_apps/

I am able to getin there, even the reporting server console. It is not asking for any user id password.

But when I try logging in to the Developer Studio Localhost environement, it is asking for user id and password as like below .

Thanks,

Ramkumar.

No need to worry about Reporting Server at this point.
If you're able to get into WebFOCUS Client, perhaps you can be able to login to DevStudio-localhost as well.Do one thing, please supply your login credentials in "WebFOCUS Client Credentials" under localhost-->Environment properties.

I believe, you only have one copy of DS in your Win 7 machine.

Release 8 requires login to the WebFOCUS Client. You should be able to use admin for the id and admin for the password. That us the default administrator id.

David, you are right. localhost can be configure by using "admin" as credentials.
But after that, it failed to login to connect EDASERVE. Any suggestion on this?
