Hello All,

I am trying to burst a Graph in a compound PDF report. I used the car master to replicate my scenario. I am trying to burst by COUNTRY, when i run the GRAPH i get the results for one value instead of all the values.

Is there anything i need to fix to make this work.

I am posting the code below.

Thank you in Advance.

I think you are confused as to what bursting is.. Bursting is a term used with ReportCaster to allow a report to be run once and have the contents of the output be sent in sections based on the highest level sort field to a distribution list of users based on the value of that field. Your example does not appear to be using ReportCaster it is code that references the country field in the heading which is not bursting.

Hey Chuck,

Thank you for responding. I just added the country field on the header to see what was the value for the report. I use reportcaster with distribution list to pass COUNTRY names which is the first BY field in my report. please correct me if i am wrong

That sounds correct. But it sounds like the people are getting a report with all countries cars listed. So something is amiss. You may want to open a case with techsupport and show them what is going on.

The code below generates graph in PDF format and also seems to work with Compound report and ReportCaster bursting.

ENGINE INT CACHE SET ON

-DEFAULTH &WF_STYLE_UNITS='INCHES';
-DEFAULTH &WF_STYLE_HEIGHT='2.12';
-DEFAULTH &WF_STYLE_WIDTH='8.000';

-DEFAULTH &WF_TITLE='WebFOCUS Report';
GRAPH FILE CAR
SUM SALES

ON GRAPH PCHOLD FORMAT PDF
ON GRAPH SET HTMLENCODE ON
ON GRAPH SET GRAPHDEFAULT OFF
ON GRAPH SET ARGRAPHENGIN JSCHART
ON GRAPH SET VZERO OFF
ON GRAPH SET UNITS &WF_STYLE_UNITS
ON GRAPH SET HAXIS &WF_STYLE_WIDTH
ON GRAPH SET VAXIS &WF_STYLE_HEIGHT
ON GRAPH SET GRMERGE ADVANCED
ON GRAPH SET GRMULTIGRAPH 1
ON GRAPH SET GRLEGEND 0
ON GRAPH SET GRXAXIS 1
ON GRAPH SET LOOKGRAPH VBAR
ON GRAPH SET STYLE *
*GRAPH_SCRIPT

setPieDepth(0);
setPieTilt(0);
setDepthRadius(0);
setCurveFitEquationDisplay(false);

*END
