I am trying to create a field in a report that has 14 different database fields going into it. The Format of the Field in P25.10. It is that big because the largest right decimal number going into it is a P15.10. and the largest left side is a P17.2 field.

Examples that I have are: 25.2350000000 and 0.0025368546.

Thanks,
Confused

To suppress trailing blanks you will most likely have to use "Creating Reports With WebFOCUS Language - Applying Dynamically Formatted Virtual Fields to Report Columns" with which you can create different formats for each row based on which database field is the current row. I'm not sure when this functionality appeared, but it is available in WebFOCUS 5.3.2.

Hi,

Try the following topics:"TRIM: Trimming Trailing Blanks" and "TRIMLEN: Determining the Length of a String Excluding Trailing Blanks" in the FOCUS for S/390 Maintaining Databases Version 7.1 manual (DN1001059.1100).
