Hello Gurus, Has anyone been able to figure out what this template "InfoApp 1" does on the new Page Designer template? Its the last option when you're creating a new page. I'm using 8206 for testing. There's not much documentation I can find on it, figured I'll ask here before opening a case.
Thanks in advance. This message has been edited. Last edited by: FP Mod Chuck,
It gives you a page set up with a collapsible top panel and a side panel.

InfoApps are be definition used for self service guided ad-hoc types of reports and I think this template is designed to allow you to put your field selections in a collapsible area and your filters in the side panels. It appears to be for ease of use on an Info App. My 2 cents..
Thank you for using Focal Point!

Thank you, I've looked at all the documentation but don't see a use case for "InfoApp 1" template. I tried to launch that template and it has a collapsible panel and other stuff but, nothing intuitive about it. I'm just not sure if I'm missing its intended usage.
The usage for any of these templates is to give you a starting point with preset panels. You can create the very same page starting with a blank page, but the template simply gives you a bunch of panels with some basic color schemes. The benefit of having these panels is that: 1. You don't have to recreate them over and over. 2. Consistency of color and design from page to page.

I understand the general use of templates but this particular one when I opened it and tried to add content in certain panels it won't let me as if those panels are meant for some other purpose. If anyone has a chance please try it and let me know. All I'm trying is to make sure to get the best use out of this template
I've used it. The boxes in the collapsible as well as the left column are meant for Parameters. An InfoApp is assumed to have a lot of variables. When you drop the Fex into the white space and tell Designer to create the parameters, you'll get them all built up on the top row. These parameters can then be organized according to your design by drag and drop into each of the boxes on the left or within the collapsible row. The output of the fex will land in the middle where you have white space.

That clarifies a lot for me. THank you BabakNYC! I was able to move some filters to both panels but its an interesting way to arrange your filters.
