Hey all,

Does anyone know if there has been any progress made in regards to whether IBI will be adding a calendar picker control/prompt as an option for those using InfoAssist? Will this new InfoAssist+ have one? Has anyone watched the intro webinars for it and noticed one at all being mentioned or shown?

Thanks in advance!

Hi CoolGuy,

As you have seen in the update on your other post the Calendar has been implemented in WebFOCUS 8103 InfoAssist.

The calendar can be selected for:
Filter
Slicers
Traffic Lights

Please refer to the New Features and Release Notes: WebFOCUS InfoAssist Enhancements

Thank you for participating in the Focal Point Forum.

Hi Tamra,

Sorry for the confusion.

Thank you for your information. I actually know the InfoAssist user themselves can choose dates from a calendar picker control when trying to set up a filter, slicer, etc. now. To clarify, I was wondering if we could insert a calendar picker control/prompt for the end user to choose from when the report is ran.

Thus far, I've only seen Active Report prompts that can be dropdown, list, checkbox, radio, or text controls. What if there is a date field being used as a sort in the report and you want to allow the user to pick what date to sort by via a prompt in the end document?

So, I'm looking for a calendar control the end end user of the report can utilize when they run the report.

Any ideas as to whether that is a thing at all? Or is that in the works within the product dev team at all yet?

Thanks!

CoolGuy,

Thank you for the clarification.

I have found that there is a on going project that programming is working on "modernizing the Amper Autoprompt Facility".

This functionality might be available in WebFOCUS 82 - but no guarantee at this point. If you would like to be informed of when this becomes available please open a case and it will be attached to the project.

I hope that answers your question.

Thank you for participating in the Focal Point Forum.

Tamra,

Thanks for the heads up! Appreciate it!

Hopefully that project will be apart of updating the end user options for prompts within InfoAssist as well. We have some advanced users that we would like to restrict to InfoAssist, which is nearly possible, but they can't build documents with date filters save for having their users enter them into a textbox and specifying with a label/text next to the textbox what format to enter the date in.

Thanks again!
