CoolGuy - I found the option for AUTOFIT within IA. It's in the Layout portion of the ribbon. I have turned IT on for all of my charts I'm using on the responsive template. They now appear to be trying to size accordingly with the browser.

However, I have a couple of pie ring charts on the page that are slightly cut off.

Also, I have a rotated, 3D-bar chart that is being squished together now.

AMC,

Do you have any legends or headers embedded within these pie graphs, etc.? You might have to gut them and use the title panels within the template instead to give details to help the actual visualization to show better.

Also, if they are absolutely needed, look into adjusting their orientations, sizes, etc. for better viewing from the page, etc. Also, you can make things look better by embedding headers instead of the default behavior of not doing this.

For how to do the above, consult the docs or an IBI rep via a case.

Good luck!

I do have legends and headers embedded within those pie charts.

Thanks for your input on this as well. I'll note the suggestions here. I see that the templates are responsive, but looks like it may still possibly involve some adjusting possibly pending the situation with the content.

I may also have to go through the rest of the templates to see if there is a better one for the charts and reports I want to show on the portal.

I realize this is an older thread, just wanted to see what you guys feel about Responsive Portals versus RDF Templates (HTML using APP studio). We're running into Portal issues where the content doesn't fold properly on a large screen monitor in IE. I hate to go back and build a html page using RDF Templates and just add that to the portal instead. We're on 8201M. Please share your feedback.

Hi vaayu,

We're on 8202M right now. I do remember having all sorts of problems with your release (8201M) though. Can't remember them all though.

1. Open a case with IBI to see if they can help you fix the bug(s) in your current release.
2. Do not develop for IE if at all possible. It is not a modern, secure browser choice, and will not render in ways you'd want it to at this day in age. See: link
3. As for portals, use the V4 collaborative portal option over the V3 basic legacy portal option. Since you don't have access to the new WF Designer tooling, or have the RDF templates built into your portal product as of yet in your release, your best bet is the latest version CM package of those RDF templates (which are a maintenance pain, I know) until you can upgrade.

Also, we were wanting to upgrade to 8205 on-prem but can't since it's only for new content atm. We can't even resolve a "treasure trove" of open cases we have with IBI right now as it is for our current installs, so it's gotten to the point where we're seriously thinking of moving completely to MSFT Power BI at some point.

Best of luck!

We ended up using RDFTemplates html page and assemble that one page in portal as one column. That always works great, except the tab controls are much better on Portal than AppStudio. Anyway I had to rejig some controls but it works better now. For now, we're staying away from Responsive portals. Smiler
