What is skipamper all about?

I have the following code: Report1 drills to Report2, simple enough right? However, Report2 does not 'see' the values coming in from Report1. Why Not? The properties of both fexes show 'skipamper=on' which I'm interpreting as 'Ignore the incoming values for the amper variables. If that is the case, how can I change it.

Here's the most basic fexes I am using:
-TYPE *******************************************************
-TYPE *** Report1 Drills to Report2
-DEFAULTH &COUNTRY = '_FOC_NULL'
-DEFAULTH &WFFMT   = 'HTML'
-DEFAULTH &RND     = 123456
-TYPE *** &TOD &COUNTRY &WFFMT &RND ***
-SET &ECHO=ALL;
-*APP PREPENDPATH IBISAMP
TABLE FILE CAR
HEADING
"&TOD &COUNTRY &WFFMT &RND"
SUM DCOST RCOST
BY COUNTRY
BY CAR
BY MODEL
ON TABLE SET PAGE-NUM NOLEAD
ON TABLE SET ASNAMES ON
ON TABLE NOTOTAL
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT &WFFMT
ON TABLE SET HTMLEMBEDIMG ON
ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
INCLUDE = IBFS:/EDA/EDASERVE/_EDAHOME/ETC/warm.sty,$
TYPE=DATA, COLUMN=COUNTRY, TARGET='_blank',
FOCEXEC=IBFS:/WFC/Repository/MyDomain/Doug/Report2.fex
(&COUNTRY=COUNTRY &WFFMT='XLSX' &RND='&TOD.EVAL')
,$
ENDSTYLE
END
-TYPE *** Report1 Drills to Report2
-TYPE *******************************************************

-TYPE *******************************************************
-TYPE *** Report2 Drills from Report1
-DEFAULTH &COUNTRY = '_FOC_NULL'
-DEFAULTH &WFFMT   = 'ABCD'
-DEFAULTH &RND     = 654321
-TYPE *** &TOD &COUNTRY &WFFMT &RND ***
-SET &ECHO=ALL;
TABLE FILE CAR
HEADING
"&TOD &COUNTRY &WFFMT &RND"
SUM DCOST RCOST
COMPUTE PROFIT/D12C = RCOST - DCOST ;
BY COUNTRY
BY CAR
BY MODEL
WHERE COUNTRY = '&COUNTRY.EVAL'
ON TABLE SET EMPTYREPORT ON
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT &WFFMT.EVAL
END
-TYPE *** Report2 Drills from Report1
-TYPE *******************************************************

And the error:
An error has occurred

Detail:
*******************************************************

*** 10.14.03 _FOC_NULL ABCD 654321 ***
TABLE FILE CAR

WHERE COUNTRY = '_FOC_NULL'
ON TABLE SET EMPTYREPORT ON
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT ABCD
END
-SET &ECHO=OFF;

Report2 is taking the -DEFAULTHs instead of the incoming variables. Frowner

Thanks in advance for letting me know if I am missing something ver simple or if this is really an issue.

quote:
'skipamper=on'

Doug,

This is the result of having "prompt for variables" unchecked within the properties of the procedure and has no bearing on your issue.

Your issue is a coding error (I think) as you have no continuation line after declaration of the focexec to be run upon drilldown.

Thanks Tony, I changed the drilldown to a single line:

TYPE=DATA, COLUMN=COUNTRY, TARGET='_blank', FOCEXEC=IBFS:/WFC/Repository/MyDomain/Doug/Report2.fex (&COUNTRY=COUNTRY &WFFMT='XLSX' &RND='&TOD.EVAL' ),$

I have the "prompt for parameters" set to "No" in the properties of both fexes Frowner

However, I should not have prefixed the variables in the drill down line with the ampersand it should be in the next line.

(COUNTRY=COUNTRY WFFMT='XLSX' RND='&TOD.EVAL')

Unfortunately, while this code is working, me real code is not. So, I'll closed this post and continue with my analysis followed by another post...
