We just upgraded to 7.1.1 and all my .doc output goes to portrait when I print even though I have the orientation set to landscape.

Hi Sue,

Has this issue been resolved?

I ran a quick search on Information Builders' online documents and came across the following topics which may be of interest:

How to force printer to change print mode to Landscape?
http://techsupport.informationbuilders.com/sps/11542039.html

How to print in landscape and change fonts.
http://techsupport.informationbuilders.com/sps/80031052.html

Hope this helps. Big Grin

Cheers,

Kerry

No, it hasn't been resolved. .doc documents are currently printing landscape from our 4.3.5 release. We upgraded to 7.1.1 and they print portrait every time even though I'm using the same .fex that has the orientation set to landscape. We just tried a .ps and that printed landscape. We ran the same .fex and changed .ps to .doc and it printed portrait. Seems like something has changed from 4.3.5 to 7.1.1.
I'll look at the info from your first link...

IBI verified that only ps will interpret styling in 7.1.1 - and orientation is part of styling.

Do you know if this is fixed in 7.1.3...or is this a new feature we all wanted?
