Is there any easy way in HTML Layout Painter to require the entry of a text box parameter?

You need to add some javascript on the submit action to validate the form
and return an error if you do not have all the required input.

So, what you're actually saying is, no there is no easy way.
Wouldn't it be a nice NFR to have fields marked as required in the HTML painter?

I would vote for that one. Seems like it would be pretty straightforward. Since the new html painter is already inserting a bunch of javascript, seems like a "Required" property on a parameter populated by a control should be able to trigger the javascript necessary to check for missing parameter values on submit.

I ended up just testing for the error in my .fex and branching to some code that prints an HTML form with the message. Thanks for your input all!

"Required" is standard in our WrapApp add-on. If you don't enter you get a pop-up alert.
