[SOLVED] Appending the data in hold file instead of recreating?

All,

I am generating the Hold file every night and storing in APP folder. Every time I create this file, it will over write the existing Data. But Just I want to append the data instead of recreating the hold file every night. This way I will save the lot of processing time.

Is that possible? If so, can someone put me in right direction?

Any Sample code will be appreciated.

Thanks in Advance.

Another solution to that is using MORE command. It is easier as compared to APPEND. Below is the example:

APP PATH folder_name

TABLE FILE HOLD_1
PRINT COL1 COL2 COL3
ON TABLE HOLD AS HOLD_ALL FORMAT FOCUS
MORE
FILE HOLD_2
END

File HOLD_2 should have the same number of columns and same data type as it is in HOLD_1.
And it is necessary to give format as FOCUS.
