It seems that the wildcard no longer works in WebFOCUS 8 as it did in WebFOCUS 7. I'd appreciate any insight that you have on this subject. We use the following to cleanup the app folder of the files which were created during the prior week reprot generation.

APP DELETEF edwsorep IBIT* PDF
APP DELETEF appfldr RS* PDF
APP DELETEF appfldr WSS* MASTER
APP DELETEF appfldr WSS* FOCUS

I don't have 8 installed, but if the wildcards don't work, then how about using APP QUERY HOLD, then create the delete commands, then -INCLUDE them.

I would also suggest submitting a case with Techsupport to get an answer from the product manager.

Thanks Waz, Here's what IB says about this:
quote:
There is a project for this issue and is to be fixed in 8100. This did work in 7.6 and early 7.7 releases but in later releases it does not. This was not an intended feature and only works on the DELETEF.
I would open a case so Kendall can find out when it would be available for DG.
