We have a ReportCaster job set up that distributes 2 csv files to 2 email addresses (on the distribution tab, we chose Single Address and typed in 2 different email addresses). My question is this: if another email address is added and the OK button is clicked - why does RC run the job? Is this a setting somewhere in RC? What if all you want to do is update an job with a new email address so that person gets the files when the job runs at a later time? Thanks.

BTW: we are using WF 7.6.1 on Windows.

What particular settings do you have for the schedule options. Based on what is there, seems caster sometimes just runs it even if you just open and close.

One of our developers have the same problem. IBI could not figure out why.

Meanwhile you can try this.
1) Disable the schedule and save it.
2) Open it add the e-mail address and save.
3) Open the schedule and enable it.

newtofocus is correct. This has been happening forever. You can save a step by opening the schedule, adding the email addresses, disabling, and saving.

Then reopen, enable and save.

As GinnyJakes mentioned, this has been happening since at least 4.3.6. It is rather funny that "IBI could not figure out why".

If you create a distribution list in the address book and leave the burst value blank it will send both reports to everyone on the list. You can then add or change email addresses to the distribution list and not touch the Report Caster job. The next time the job is scheduled to run it will pick up the new address list.

TO: newtofocus - yes the suggestion worked, thank you.

TO: PBrightwell - thanks for your response. I did suggest creating a Distribution list as another option (to the person having the issue). He stated that he will disable the job before making email address changes.
