For reports I can issue the SET CURRSYMB= command to change the currency symbol, for example, to British pounds (CURRSYMB=GBP). Can't seem to make it work, however, in a graph. Has anyone tried this?

Thanks,

Craig

OK, nobody bit on this one, but eventually a solution occurred to me and I'd like to share it!

First of all, I figured the decimal value of the three symbols (dollars, G.B. pounds, Euros) I needed to support.
(Dollar sign is 36, G.B. pound sign is 163, and the Euro sign is 128). I then assigned the appropriate value to
a variable, for example: -SET &CURRSYMB=IF &CLIENT_CURRENCY_CD EQ 'USD' THEN HEXBYT(36,'A1')...

Finally, in the graph api code section, I applied this:
setTextFormatPreset(getY1Label(),-1);
setTextFormatPattern(getY1Label(),"&CURRSYMB|##,###,###");

This works for the hover text, too.

If there's a better way, I'd like to see it!

Craig

Craig, necessity is the mother of McGyver!

I would open a case with Tech Support - you shouldn't have to go through this for something that ought to be simple.

Have you tried formatting the amount field/s using the extended currency symbols (!d/D, !e/E, !l/L, !y/Y) before your GRAPH FILE statement, to see if the currency symbols are retained in the graph?
