TABLE FILE CAR PRINT CAR SALES/D20C RPM/D20C BHP/D20C BY COUNTRY ON TABLE SET BYDISPLAY ON ON COUNTRY SUBTOTAL AS 'Total' ON COUNTRY SUBFOOT "Total <+0> <ST.SALES<ST.RPM<ST.BHP" ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON ON TABLE SET STYLE * TYPE=SUBFOOT,COLSPAN=6,HEADALIGN=BODY,JUSTIFY=RIGHT,BACKCOLOR=CYAN,$ TYPE=SUBFOOT,LINE=1,ITEM=1,COLSPAN=1,$ TYPE=SUBFOOT,LINE=1,ITEM=2,COLSPAN=1,$ TYPE=SUBFOOT,LINE=1,ITEM=3,COLSPAN=1,$ TYPE=SUBFOOT,LINE=1,ITEM=4,COLSPAN=1,$ TYPE=SUBFOOT,LINE=1,ITEM=5,COLSPAN=1,$ END
In the above code ,i am displaying the subtotal of a BY field on its SUBFOOT using the ST command. But when i do this i donot get the values comma separated. When i try the same with ON BY-FIELD SUBTOTAL i get the comma separated values.
Is there any method to display the values with commas in the SUBFOOT?

The format changing you are doing is on the fly. When you are doing ST. in Subfoot is going back to the orginal format. Put your format changes in a define and it will work.
Format reassignment does nothing for subtotals.
Use COMPUTE to change the format and then use the computed field in the subfoot.
That works too.
Both suggestions works fine. Thankyou Praire and JG.This message has been edited. Last edited by: Ajai,
