Hi
I have a report Launch page where in i have 6 drillmenu reports like RPT1,RPT2,...RPT6.The Launch page is connected to a fex file which include all these 6 reports based on selections.The 6th drillmenu item is nothing but an excel compound report of RPT1 to 5 reports in tabbed EXCEL.Now i would like to include another tab which contains the number of records in each report.For example the RPT1 has 5 record and 2 has 10 records ,i want to display these information.

RPT1 5
RPT2 10
RPT3 15
RPT4 20

Could anyone has answers please reply.Iam doing this in Managed Reporting.

Since you must run each report to populate the spreadsheet, put a -RUN at the end of each report and collect the number of lines generated. Use these report statistics in a DEFINE to produce the report for the final Excel tab.

RPT1:
TABLE FILE ...
.
.
END
-RUN
-SET &RPT1_RECS = &LINES ;

RPT2:
TABLE FILE ...
.
.
END
-RUN
-SET &RPT2_RECS = &LINES ;

and so on...

DEFINE FILE <any small file, like CAR for example>
 RPT1_RECS/I5 WITH <fieldname> = &RPT1_RECS ;
 RPT2_RECS/I5 WITH <fieldname> = &RPT2_RECS ;
 RPT3_RECS/I5 WITH <fieldname> = &RPT3_RECS ;
 RPT4_RECS/I5 WITH <fieldname> = &RPT4_RECS ;
 RPT5_RECS/I5 WITH <fieldname> = &RPT5_RECS ;
END

TABLE FILE <any small file, like CAR for example>
 PRINT RPT1_RECS AS 'RPT1' OVER
       RPT2_RECS AS 'RPT2' OVER
       RPT3_RECS AS 'RPT3' OVER
       RPT4_RECS AS 'RPT4' OVER
       RPT5_RECS AS 'RPT5'
 WHERE RECORDLIMIT EQ 1 ;
END

Or skip the DEFINEs and simply put the report statistics in a HEADING.

TABLEF FILE <any small file, like CAR for example>
 PRINT <some field> NOPRINT
 HEADING
  "RPT1 &RPT1_RECS "
  "RPT2 &RPT2_RECS "
  "RPT3 &RPT3_RECS "
  "RPT4 &RPT4_RECS "
  "RPT5 &RPT5_RECS "
 WHERE RECORDLIMIT EQ 1 ;
END
