What is the ideal server(for both NT & UNIX OS) configuration(Memory , CPU & Hard disk) for WebFocus 5.2 to run reports quickly?

We have data coming from various data sources including DB2,Sybase,Oracle,SQL etc. The database are in different servers.

Thanks.

kj, your ibi salesperson should be really helpful to you in this question. your 4k userbase is way bigger than mine, but i would suggest that you use a multi-server configuration, where one backs up the other, and max out the number of processors on each server. 4 processors per server . ARe you going to deliver MRE or SelfServ? You would want to have a test server where your developers can do their design work with no impairment to production. MRE is pretty easy to manage for multiple developers, but self-serv for multiple dvelopers would take a little more hands-on management. With 4k users, you'll definitely want a multi server config. At TechSummit in May they gave a presentation about that config, and you can download the PPT from the ibi website, look for the Summit Users Conference and dig around. Then call up the ny office and talk to the folks who gave that presentation. sounds like a great project.
