Hello,
Can anybody tell how to remove the last row from a result.

Suppose that my output is:

VALUES
----------
value1
value2
value3

I what to remove the "value3", the last one.

Do a TABLE FILE x ... HOLD itto a hold file, use &LINES -1 in the following TABLE FILE HOLD / WHERE statement and that should give you all the records held minus one.

Here is one method.

DEFINE FILE CAR
 CNTY_COUNT/I9 = 1 ;
END
TABLE  FILE CAR
 SUM   CNTY_COUNT
 PRINT COMPUTE CNTY_SEQ/I9 = LAST CNTY_SEQ + 1 ;
 BY COUNTRY
 WHERE TOTAL CNTY_COUNT NE CNTY_SEQ
END


The CNTY_COUNT is the total number of lines, CNTY_SEQ is the numbered rows. To remove the last record, just add a WHERE clause that keeps all CNTY_SEQ that are not equal to the CNTY_COUNT.
