Hi,

I know in Default zone at Security tab in Administrator Console can not modify anything in 'Request Matching'(Not able to add or change URL Pattern nor add any IP Address of the client)

but come a cross the help document did mention: "The Request Matching page should not be changed, but you can modify the IP Addresses to use for this default zone."
in "Understanding the Default Zone Configuration" session.

So I assume there is a way to add specific of IP can access Default zone. I did try manually modify securitysettings.xml, but no luck.

any ideas?

In the Client Administration Console under the Security tab under the Default security zone there is a Request Matching option with a tab for specifying IP Addrwes of Cleint/last proxy. This manual explains it in detail. https://techsupport.informatio...admin/wfsec_8206.pdf

Nox,

I would suggest that you update your signature to show what version of WebFOCUS you are on.

The document Chuck shared is V8.2.06.

Hi Chuck,

those steps you provide is not available, due to this line "The Default, Mobile, and Portlet zones contain no values for this tab, and the Add, Edit, and Remove links are unavailable, effectively making the evaluation of the client or last proxy IP addresses irrelevant." under "Understanding the IP Address of the Client/Last Proxy Tab"

So I'm a bit confusing, it said we are able to specify certain IP address for default zone, yet they have Add, Edit and Remove links removed.

Any ideas?
