I am trying to create a dynamic user interface which will allow user to set up different iterations of report. The interface should allow user to select optional fields and he should be able to schedule the reports. Whats the best way to handle this kind of interface...

the answer is not an essy one.
depends on what you alraady do know about webfocus.
did you create the final report with some prompted user interaction?
the selections the user can make, are they limited to datafields in other tables? like product types, countries, or like "yes, no"

I know how to create screens for user to input the parameters. Some of the parameters will come out of datafields. Some of the parameters will be static on the screen which will decide the sort order & sub-total options. Every user may create multiple iterations out of those screens and schedule these reports.

Thanks

i've created dynamic user interface with XML as the mean for field lists.
even tried JSP once for the interface to be more dynamic.
but, i just ran the final reports as deferred, didn't get a chance to schedule it.
