I'm in MRE and building a detail Hold File that I intend to return to in building, first, a Summary Report and then Drill Down Reports. Each time returning to the hold file for my data to move things along quicker. We are a MVS house using Developer Studio/MRE/Dashboard w the Main Frame.

Does MRE require the building of a Master and specifying where to store it as well as the data. My understanding is that Developers Studio and the Self Service applications, requires developer handling of the Hold files and Masters while MRE does not. IF a master is required is an ACCESS member also required?

Hi Rick.

What type of hold file? Also, what release are you using. (If you're using release 52x do you use EDAPATH or APP PATH for the search path of the server?)
