Just upgraded to 766 and there is no indication of what line number the cursor is at.
Is this a bug or am I missing something? This message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,

Sorry this doesn't help, but I have no problems with this in 7.1.6. and whilst I had 7.6.4 installed I don't recall line number problems with that release.

John,
This has been happening off and on since 762. I now have 765. Sometimes they're there and sometimes they're not. It is frustrating and annoying, but I haven't opened a new case on it yet. Feel free.
I'm running Version: 766 Gen: 07212008 Packaging ID: 766_072208 and have the Line x Col y down in the bottom right corner when using the inbuilt text editor.
Can't see anything in the options to "hide" the numbering or in the registry either.
Is yours a new install or an upgrade? Mine is an upgrade over 764 - which was a new install
Cheers

It seems to be that if you go into pdf painter it disables the numbers and forgets to re-enable them once you return to the ordinary editor.
Starting ds afresh without going into pdf layout solves the problem!
Thanks everyone

Yep, it does that for me too.
Nice catch, I would have probably never worked that out.
