[CLOSED]Problem with Permission when installing WebFocus 7.7.03
Trying to resolve a permission problem that pops up after instaling l WF 7.7.03.
When I try to run WebFocus Developer Studio, I get the following message:
A window pops up stating:
Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer. “C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\cmd.exe” /c ‘set EDAEXTSEC = OFF && c:\ibi\devstu~1\srv77\wfs\bin\edastart.bat” I tried running the above commands step by step and got the following:
1. I was able to click on Start -> All Program -> Accessories -> Run, entered the command: C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\cmd.exe and was able to successfully get to the command prompt 2. I then entered the command: set EDAEXTSEC = OFF 3. When I entered the command : c:\ibi\devstu~1\srv77\wfs\bin\edastart.bat I got the following error: User is not authorized to start WorkSpace Manager
Any suggestion on directories/files that need to focus on to check permissions?
Seems Windows 7 has some requirements for admin privileges or something to that effect.
Once I was added to a group that that workstation admin rights I was able to execute W.F. without having to enter a Admin Userid/PW.This message has been edited. Last edited by: Jeff_Rowland,
