Hi All,
Is there any API provided by ReportCaster to cancel a particular instance of the schedule. Say i have submitted a request to run from Apr 20th to Apr 25th. Is there any way can i set that the schedule instance should not run only on Apr 22nd.

Please advice.

a simple flexible way to accomplish this sort of situation would be to use a preprocessing fex. You can set up all sorts of date-based or time-based conditions, and you can use the regular RC tool to include that pre-processing fex.
something like this:
-IF &YYMD NE 20070422 GOTO end.thisfex ;
-SET &&KILL_RPC='Y';
-end.thisfex

where the double & variable kill_rpc is a system variable that will stop the processing of that specific task in your schedule, and go on to the next task in your schedule (if there is one)

Hi Fazlina,

Can you please share with all, what is the outcome when you try Frank and Susan's suggestions?

As always, you can contact Information Builders' Customer Support Services and open a case for help. To do so, you may either call at 1-800-736-6130, or access the online system InfoResponse at http://techsupport.ibi.com. Here is a list of information to be ready when you call: http://techsupport.ibi.com/before_you_call.jsp.

Hope this helps. Smiler

Cheers,

Kerry
