When I run one of my .fex file, I am getting message called “agents are crashed”. Then I went back to my report server and looked at the data service agents, all agents state is “crashed”, Did anybody having any idea, why my agents are crashed?
By the way I am new to this forum and the product.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

If you have
-SET &ECHO = ALL;
this will crash if a lot of lines of code are being generated. Comment/delete this line of code.

Probably means you've got an error in the fex - not necessarily a syntax error, but something that the server doesn't like. Maybe try SET XRETRIEVAL=OFF and include a -SET &ECHO=ALL; to check your code.

And you probably want to clean up those crashed agents.

Another option is to put a -EXIT in your program, at first eanrly in the program, then on each successfull run moving it down then code till the agent crashes.

This will give you an idea where it is failing.

The next step is finding out the problem, thats the difficult part.

Hi, this issue was not resolved. Ours is brand new installation (7.6.10, 64bit) and this issue was escalated to the customer service. We are getting this issue right after Resource analyzer and resource governor installation.

Right now product management is looking at this issue.

Well if its happening after an installation of RA and RG, then thats the area to look at first.

This item was reported to IBI over a week ago. IBI has replicated the problem, identified the issue with RA and RG with connection pooling on running 64bit on 2008 and is in the process of testing a fix for this.
