Hello,
We need to load some MSSQL tables from one server to another which contains some fields with VARBINARY(MAX) datatype.
We use MSODBC "MS SQL SERVER ODBC 2012:2014" adapter for both server's connections.
Synonym was created automaticaly by iWay with varbinary fields as BLOB datatype in the synonym.
However, when running the flow, I'm getting the below error -
'
(FOC1400) SQLCODE IS -1 (HEX: FFFFFFFF)
XOPEN: [07002] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver 11
for SQL Server]COUNT field incorrect or
syntax error
'
I tried changing the data type to 'A4000V' but got another error that varchar cannot be loaded to varbinary implicitly (ODBC errro).

Any idea on how to load BLOB fields using ODBC?

Thank you,

Hi Avatar

I would recommend using the SQL Server export / import utilities instead of WebFOCUS for the task.

Thank you for using Focal Point!
