The Reporting Server's Impact Analysis tool is not aware of the content within
the WebFOCUS content tree.
The IMPACT ANALYSIS is available within App Studio for WebFOCUS objects that
are stored in the WebFOCUS Repository or Content tree. For example:
1. Right-click on a Business Intelligence Portal content folder or the top
level CONTENT and choose "Impact Analysis". This will open the
application tree.
2. Select a Master File.
3. Click on "Analyze" to find any procedures that use this Master File within
the Business Intelligence Portal.

Thank you for participating in the Focal Point Forum.

Kindest regards,

All the pointing and clicking is OK, but it would be really nice to be able to do Impact Analysis by running fexes created by code or by pointing and clicking.

If you are happy to report against the WebFOCUS Repository then you can do something like this:

ENGINE SQLMSS SET DEFAULT_CONNECTION REPOSITORY
SQL SQLMSS PREPARE SQLLOOP FOR
select t2.appname,t2.objname,t2.prt_path,t2.lastmodon,t2.lastmodby
from wf_content_revs t1
inner join wf_reposobj t2 on t1.obj_handle = t2.handle
where lower(cast(cast(t1.bcontent as varbinary(max)) as varchar(max))) like '%&TAB_NAME.EVAL%'
END

TABLE FILE SQLLOOP
PRINT
	 prt_path AS 'Location'
BY objname AS 'Report Name'
HEADING
"TABLE: &TAB_NAME"
FOOTING
""
ON TABLE SET EMPTYREPORT ON
ON TABLE SET BYDISPLAY ON
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT HTML
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
ENDSTYLE
END

I have a number of variations on this, including one that lists all reports that by Synonym

Cheers

Stu
