I want to hold my table in .txt format for that I have used HOLD FORMAT as VISDIS but problem here is that,In the hold file(.txt)first record of the data file contains the column titles for the data value and the next record contains the field formats but I dont want these two lines. Is there any option in webfocus where i can suppress these two lines
EG:

JOIN MOVIECODE IN MOVIES TO ALL MOVIECODE IN VIDEOTRK AS J1DEFINE FILE MOVIESTRANS1/YYMD = TRANSDATE;ENDTABLE FILE MOVIESPRINT COPIES TITLE WHOLESALEPR AS 'WHOLESALE,PRICE'TRANSDATEBY CATEGORYWHERE CATEGORY EQ 'ACTION' OR 'CHILDREN'ON TABLE HOLD FORMAT VISDISEND

The following file is created. For clarity, the tab characters in the file are displayed as a caret (>) surrounded by blanks. Note that the first record has the column titles and the second has the Visual Discovery formats:

CATEGORY > COPIES > TITLE > WHOLESALE,PRICE > TRANS1S > I > S > R > D%Y%m%dACTION > 2 > JAWS > CATEGORY > COPIES > TITLE > WHOLESALE,PRICE > TRANS1S > I > S > R > D%Y%m%dACTION > 2 > JAWS > 10.99 > 19910627ACTION > 4 > TOTAL RECALL > 11.99 > 19910619ACTION > 2 > TOP GUN > 9.99 > 19910626ACTION > 2 > TOP GUN > 9.99 > 19910627

I want to suppress below two lines
CATEGORY > COPIES > TITLE > WHOLESALE,PRICE > TRANS1S > I > S > R > D%Y%m%dACTION > 2 > JAWS >

Why are you HOLDing format VISDIS? It is obviously not the format you want .... so try another, such as ALPHA, COM, etc. In fact click on the "Search the Technical Document Library" button above and choose WebFOCUS Reporting and your release on the left hand selections. Type in "Creating a HOLD File" in the text box and then click on GO. Read the document to help you further.

I would hazard a guess that you are relying upon the help screen in Dev Studio and that you have had no training? Two suggestions, firstly ask for some training to help you understand the language more rapidly than learning as you go and secondly don't rely upon the help in Dev Studio in entirety as it tends to be Maintain or Visual Discovery oriented and therefore not always useful to the novice.
