How many tables are you trying to use in a single join structure?

Which database engine?

I believe the limit is 16 joins. The easy way around this is to build a view in SQL Server and then create a master file for that view.

Create a hold file using the 16 joins, then join the hold file to the remaining tables.

"Create a hold file using the 16 joins" Not.

Please read Darin's wise suggestion.

The best way is to understand the joins.

If the joins are just getting reference data, then you can TABLE and HOLD them, then join at FOCUS level.

If its data with other foriegn keys, that need to be joined, then Darin's suggestion is the best.
