I have one report that close to 100 schedules based on it. Recnetly we made a change to that report, but when the schedules ran it did not include the changes, like it was using a cached version of the report. To correct this we had to edit each schedule, reslecting the same report, resetting all the parameters and the ouput file name for each one. Is there an easier way to make the schedules pick up the new changes to the report without having to edit each one individually.

Sounds to me like there may be more than one copy of the report somewhere. Each time the request runs, RC accesses the specified code (in MRE on otherwise) to see what code needs to be run. It doesn't sotre a copy of that code anywhere else. If I create a procedure, schedule and run it through RC and then change the procedure and run the scheduled job again it will automatically pick up the changes to the fex. One issue that may occur is when parameters are involved. Paraamters and values ARE written to Caster tables, so if additional parameters are added after the original job is scheduled, there may be problems. (Also noticed that the server where a job is scheduled cannot be changed after the fact or an error occurs unless the job is re-opened, procedure re-selected, and re-saved.)

We do this (changing code of scheduled procedures) all the time without having to do anything additional in Caster.

Darin

I'm not sure what caused this for us. We use parameters, but no additional parameters were added, just a couple new columns to the report. There is only one version of the report in MRE and all we had to do to pull in the new columns was to pick the same report from the list in the schedule edit.

HI Kevin,
What Darin has suggested is right??
if any new parameters has been added in the procedure(fex) then only we need to edit schedule..
as you have said there is no additional parameters added in the procedure(fex), it automatically takes the procedure changes.

Check the Procedure name(fex name), if this has been changed in MRE? this might be the reason. otherwise it should work perfectly..
