I never realized that it is a problem to have a field named as "HOLD" when doing a TABLE FILE PRINT FIELD1 FIELD2 HOLD
END

Apparently I have a field that is named HOLD and its throwing an error saying it can't find the field right after that.
(FOC002) A WORD IS NOT RECOGNIZED: SALES_REP
(FOC009) INCOMPLETE REQUEST STATEMENT

TABLE FILE SQLOUT
PRINT CUSTOMER_NAM
HOLD
SALES_REP
END

Any thoughts?

There are several options, for example you could use a define to rename the field. You could also choose to just enter 'HOL' as FOCUS automatically guesses the field HOLD is meant (this would not have my preference, especially when there are maybe other field starting with 'HOL' (at this moment or maybe later on).

Did you try putting the field name in single quotes?

TABLE FILE SQLOUT
PRINT
'CUSTOMER_NAM'
'HOLD'
'SALES_REP'
END

Thanks for the inputs. I tried to use quotes but no luck. I could try the DEFINE and see.

Again, thanks for responding.

Try prefixing the fieldname with the master name.

e.g.
SQL
SELECT COUNTRY, CAR AS HOLD, MODEL
FROM CAR ;
TABLE ON TABLE HOLD AS SQLOUT
END
-RUN

TABLE FILE SQLOUT
PRINT COUNTRY
SQLOUT.HOLD
MODEL
END

At the first post, at the bottom right, there is an icon for edit. That will allow you to edit the subject also.
