setting the java script variable to webfocus variable

hi,
I am trying to set variable in the java script to the webfocus variable.But it's not happening so.
But i am able to set the webfocus variable to java script variable. Can't it happen in the reverse way.Please help

What do you have coded thats not working? Are you using the !IBI.AMP syntax or something else?

To expand on Rich's comment (just in case) Balaji, any variable that is set in FOCUS code (say &FLDX) can be refered to in HTM pages as !IBI.AMP.FLDX;

For the other way around, please try the following in the 'HEAD' section :
document.formname.FLDX.value = 'ABC';
And depending on how your HTML is stuctured, you may also need a
<INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="FLDX"> in the 'BODY'.
