Character Limitation for PDF???

I am having a problem with character length. I was told by IBI that there is no limit restriction, so either it is a bug or my problem. Here is a repro of our problem.

Essentially I have a comment field that allows for 2000 characters, then I pull that data from the DB into a WF report. What I get when I try to run it in PDF ONLY (Excel works, DOC works, and HTML works) is an EOF Exception. It will work up to about 1000 characters and cut off the rest, why doesn't 2000 work?

Can anyone help? Here is the repro:

DEFINE FILE CAR
MY1/A50 WITH CAR = '1234567 101234567 201234567 301234567 401234567 50';
MY2/A500 = MY1 | MY1 | MY1 | MY1 | MY1 | MY1 | MY1 | MY1 | MY1 | MY1;
MY3/A2000 = MY2 | MY2 | MY2 | MY2;
MY4/A2000 = MY2 | MY2;
END
TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT MY3
-* this works PRINT MY4
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT PDF
WHERE RECORDLIMIT EQ 1
END

Thanks so much!!

Try using WRAP.

It may be the problem with Adobe. They might have some limitation for a line in PDF document.

You are right that there is no WebFOCUS limits, so you may want to check if there are any PDF limits on characters.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Kerry
