Hi All,

We had a requirement to customize the Report Caster window when we click on the Schedule button present in HTML composer.

By using the Report Caster API's we built a Java application to suit our requirement. So now from the WebFOCUS reports when we click on the Schedule button(Created through HTML Composer) it will redirect us to the Java page which we built.

In order to create a schedule using Report Caster API's we need to pass execUserId and execPassword.

We need to pass the connected user's credentials in order to create the schedule under his/her account. We cannot prompt for User Name and Password with the users. We need to achieve a functionality similar to single sign on so that we can achieve our requirement.

Could you all please throw some light on this.

Thanks,
Santhosh

Hi Kathryn,

The ReportCaster samples requires User Name and Password. That's the reason I asked for the solution to pass the user name and password without prompting the users as we are using Single sign on.

Thanks,
Santhosh

Hi Santhosh,

I've consulted with several ReportCaster experts about this topic. We need to get more details of your current security setup which is best done through a case. Please open a case on InfoResponse Online so that we can work with you on this.

Thanks and regards,

Kathryn
