/ibi_apps/rs/ibfs/EDA/EDASERVE/my_folder/myfile.csv?IBIRS_action=run

So the above obviously doesn't work as it's not a FEX. I tried using GET and that didn't work, but tells me there is a file there. File looks encoded into the XML. So how can I download the CSV that I have sitting on my reporting server?

No, I have a FEX that can pull it:
http://forums.informationbuild...1057331/m/8647007186

I was attempting to do it without FEX code.. Like a URL to get it and I found one.. Undocumented Feature, but also found that it's a security hole in WebFOCUS..

/ibi_apps/rs/ibfs/EDA/EDASERVE/my_folder/myfile.csv?IBIRS_action=getContent

This can be used to pull MAS, FEX, and ACX. When calling a FEX like that, it dumps the CODE of the FEX.. So don't let your clients know the paths, because that seems to be the only protection around it.

You can supply security to the app folders from within the reporting server.

Perhaps someone from IBI could add a comment to two about how to secure this up.

But then the end user that would need the adapter and synonym to access the data couldn't if they don't have access to it.

Actually should have the ability to turn off the "IBIRS_action=getContent" and still have the ability to use "IBIRS_action=run".
