Is there a way to continue lines on the next line within my .fex and not get an error? example code (this works fine, but is hard to read) TYPE=DATA,DRILLMENUITEM='Show Monthly Breakout', FOCEXEC=app/wcqrgj18.fex(REP_GRP_CHRONO='BYMONTH' BEGIN_MONTH=&BEGIN_MONTH END_MONTH=&END_MONTH ), TARGET='_self',$
It's one line in my fex, here is comes across differently.
I would like to allow the name/value pairs to be on seperate lines, like this: (REP_GRP_CHRONO='BYMONTH' BEGIN_MONTH=&BEGIN_MONTH END_MONTH=&END_MONTH ),
Any ideas? Like a line continuation character? This message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,

Keep in mind that there MAY be an 80 character line length limit IF you're on a mainframe with a the members defined as FIXED BLOCK LRECL 80. If so, Dev Studio will allow you to enter lines GT 80 characters and will notify you IF there is such a line. However, you may, as I do here, lose anything past the offending line IF you exit and save. The error message comes up after the exit is performed and the only lines that are saved are those before it.

the case was readability of the code, very long code lines will work, but make it difficult to read. An other problem is the GUI. If you make your code readable and add comment, it is all removed or changed when you open the code in the GUI.
