Hi All,

We are using Adobe flash builder to build the UI by using the SWF and it is working fine now. But we are planning to upgrade the WF version to 8.1.03.
I am just trying to know whether this FLEX files wil work on that version. Can you please let me know Is the same SWF will work on that version?

Thanks,
Koti

Hi koti,

This is friendly follow-up regarding your question - FLEX support in WF8.1.0.3 .

While we wait to see if other members respond, I can say that I have seen a BI Portal built in WebFOCUS 8007 with a URL call that linked in the SWF file.

I hope this helps you out. Let us know if you have any further questions.

We have a WF 8.1.03 development environment and all of our Flex apps work as migrated, no code or configuration changes were required. Hope this helps.

Hi Edwin,

Thanks very much for your confirmation and this is good news for me in FLEX part.

I have HTML UI also, is HTML files require any code change?

Thanks,
Koti

Hi Koti,

Oh no, I just noticed our Flex app that we migrated is pointing to other server and that's why it worked.

When I modified our 8.1.03 Flex app url, that is, to go to our 8.1.03 server, Flex ran, but unfortunately no data was loaded in our frames via our .swf file.

I suspect we'll have to modify our html files where server names/paths were probably hardcoded via the html composer.

I would like to believe if we upgraded from a WebFOCUS 7.7x to 8.1x on the same box, everything is in place and would work.

Unfortunately in our case we created a 8.1.03 sandbox environment and migrated everything over and are modifying code when applicable.

I know this isn't the best positive post, but hope this information helps.
