Sunilnair,

I would strongly advise you to get your company to provide FOCUS training for you as most of your questions will probably be answered.

If they will not provide that training then at least download some of the documentation that is available and read through it.

Hi Sunilnair,

These manuals are oldies but goodies:

  • FOCUS Report Writing Primer (DN1000021.0592)
  • FOCUS Getting Started (DN1000036.1085)

You can view, and/or download these manuals from the Technical Documentation Library.

If you have an InfoResponse ID, login on the Tech Support web site and then access the Library. By logging in first, you can download the PDF file and/or view the HTMLHelp version.

You can access the Technical Documentation Library via the following Web sites:

(From the top navigation bar, click Services & Support. Then, select Bookstore.)

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Jennifer

Once you CREATE your database it will last until you delete it or until you use the CREATE command again. Usually you only do this once. You need to have a Master File for the database and you will need to learn Modify/Maintain to do maintenance on the database. If classes are not an option, then reading the manual is a must.

Good Luck!
