Does anyone know if we can use HTML Assistant as a stand alone component and attach it to the website by specifying the input parameters like user access and database?

You can use HTML Report Assistant as a standalone component, but you must be licensed for Managed Reporting and you must have Managed Reporting installed.

Documentation is in the Managed Reporting Administrator's manual, which is available in PDF format on the Information Builders web site.
