Hi,

I have a portal which gives user access to 3 other portals based on the permission they have. If a user does not have permission to a portal then he gets a 403 error page. Is there a way to display a custom screen if this happens?

Thanks,
Johjen Mathew

I would suggest checking out overriding a 403 error in the web server.

IIS or Apache, etc

There are two places that this could happen, and depending on the setup it could be the web server (IIS or Apache or websphere or even tomcat) or if its a WebFOCUS message then is will be in the config of the WebFOCUS client.

You mentioned 403, this points to the web server.

Hi Joe,

This is difficult as I do not know your environment.

I would assume that you are using IIS, but do not know.

Did you install WebFOCUS ?

If not, you may have to contact your IT department to find out what the web server is.

Also, others in the forum may have suggestions
