I frequently receive questions from new WF developers, at my shop, about focexec processing.

Often this type of question appears in Focal Point.

Questions like:
* What does a –RUN do?
* What is the difference between a –RUN and a –EXIT.

To help answer these questions, I put into flowchart form the Dialogue Manager processing guidelines from the manual:

If the image is hard to see, a PDF version is available on Dropbox:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/u7u6...0Processing.pdf?dl=0

If your site doesn’t allow access to Dropbox, just shoot me a PM with your email address, and I’ll send a copy to you.

Basically, the flowchart translates the text within Chapter 5 of the ‘Developing Reporting Applications’ manual into picture form. The diagram in Chapter 5 used to look like this one, I believe, but appears to have been slimmed down at some point. (Now if only I could only slim down as well. :-))

YMMV Any comments/suggestions welcomed, as always.

Thats great.

I would suggest you add in EOF with the -EXIT as well to cover the end of the file.

Good stuff!

Just one small point would be make it clear that a -INCLUDEd focexec does not have an implied -EXIT.
