Hi Does anyone know if there is some way to issue a 'passthrough' query to SQL Server or Oracle from within Quick Data.

Since quick data calls up a version of the report assistant, I don't think there is a way to insert some non-gui code like sql passthrough code. But maybe someone else comes up with a brilliant idea?

Not as a direct query as they must be created using the Report assistant which does not allow you to write
an SQL Passthrough request.

However if you use Structured Adhoc Forms (SAF's) then you can, as the query behind
the form can be SQL Passthru.

The Quick data tech memo does not show SQL Passtrugh but it does explain using SAF's.
