[SOLVED] DELETE files from Linux.

Our preprod and production are Linux servers which house WebFOCUS, but our dev is Windows. Here is some code, I'm using, but I'm not sure the if RM command to delete a file under Linux will work, as I have nothing to test it on. To me it seems DOS, NT, and DEL in fact, are all Windows type calls. 

-IF &FOCMODE NE 'WINNT' THEN GOTO LINUX;

-WIN
-TYPE Deleting Window file &FN.EVAL
DEL &FN
-GOTO RETCHECK;

-LINUX
-TYPE Deleting Linux file &FN.EVAL
RM &FN


Can someone confirm this command will work?

In linux, the command is rm, lower case.

Have you thought about using the APP command to delete files.

The command does not have os specific info.

Thanks Waz,

That took some time before I could get it working.. I couldn't get APP DELETE to work and for good reason. Seems it's to be for the whole directory.. I'm glad I didn't mess that up. APP DELETEF is for a specific file, which worked out nicely.

Working solution..
APP DELETEF 'MYAPP' 'AboutData' 'mas'
APP DELETEF 'MYAPP' 'AboutData' 'foc'

MYAPP = The root folder under Reporting Server (EDASERVER\Applications\MYAPP)
AboutData = FileName without the extension
mas = Extension of the file.
