Hi
I am trying to establish a holiday file, for use with the applicable date functions. Through looking at various posts I have created my .ERR file, please note that it's definitely an error file, named HDAYDOFF that only contains dates in YYMD format, e.g:

20110422
20110425
20110426
20110613
20111101
20111227
20111226

When I run the following code in developer studio:

FILEDEF HDAYDOFF DISK C:\ibi\DevStudio77\srv77\home\bin\HDAYDOFF.err
SET BUSDAYS = _MTWTF_
SET HDAY = DOFF
-RUN

I get the following message:
(FOC1892) FILE NOT FOUND : HDAYDOFFERRORS *

I have tried changing the location of the holiday file to:

C:\ibi\DevStudio77\srv77\wfs\etc
C:\ibi\DevStudio77\srv77\wfs\bin
C:\ibi\DevStudio77\srv77\home\nls
C:\ibi\DevStudio77\srv77\home\etc
C:\ibi\DevStudio77\srv77\home\bin

If anyone can help me get this holiday file working it would be greatly appreciated.

Running WF 7.7.03, MRE, BI Dashboard, Dev Studio on Windows

Waz,
The documentation on this subject leaves alot to be desired. At this stage I wouldn't be suprised to learn that the holiday file is in fact mythical.

The documentation states:

Procedure: How to Create a Holiday File
In a text editor, create a list of dates designated as holidays using the Rules for Creating a Holiday File.
Save the file:
In Windows and UNIX: The file must be HDAYxxxx.ERR

In z/OS: The file must be a member of ERRORS named HDAYxxxx.

where:

xxxx
Is a string of text four characters long.

Interesting....

In 2007 I requested a new feature to specify the location of the HDAY file in a FILEDEF, and last year I was told that it was in 7.7.x.

In 7.703 I can use:
FILEDEF HDAYGB DISK C:\ibi\apps\baseapp\hols.txt
SET BUSDAYS = _MTWTF_
SET HDAY = GB
-RUN

OR
SET BUSDAYS = _MTWTF_
SET HDAY = GB
-RUN
if the file is C:\ibi\DevStudio77\srv77\home\nls\HDAYGB.ERR
and it seems to work fine.

Ok it's now working, the following directory was the one that did the trick:

ibi\DevStudio77\srv77\home\nls

It needed to be on the production server though.
