I have a compound report that has 2 tabs that I would like to schedule to run and save out to a specified location. Can someone help with the syntax? Thank you

You should be able to PCHOLD FORMAT EXL2K and use the FTP feature of Report Caster to post it. You may need security access depending on where you are wanting to send it.

PBrightwell thank you for the suggestion, after checking, we do not have FTP capability, is there a way we can save the hold file out as Excel and then use a winnt copy command? Pat

I do this exact process with a compound report in excel, but I'm on UNIX. My concern in the windows environment is that after you place it in the directory the first time every time after the copy command would be prompted that the file already exists and if you want to over write it, unless you can somehow name your files different each time with a date/time stamp. Or you could perform the delete file command prior to the copy file command.

I have several processes that do precisely that, check whether the file or folder exists and then delete it and/or continue. Even to the point of deleting yesterdays backup file and renaming yesterdays actual file, before storing todays.

There are several command extensions that you can use on such commands as RMDIR, MKDIR ERASE etc. to prevent the prompting behaviour that is normal in interactive situations.
