If I am pulling a date in HYYDMs format from a pass thru sql, but only want to display the date, how would that be done?

I have looked at a bunch of old posts, but none of those are working for me.

I am trying to do it like this:

COMPUTE DATE/MDYY = DT_FIELD_NAME;

Then I tried something I saw in a post:

COMPUTE DATE/MDYY = HDATE(INSERT_DT, HYYDMs);

Can Anyone Help?

Thank you.

Try this in a define.

DDATE/I6YMD = HDATE(CHECK_DATE, 'YMD')
