Hi Guys,

I have created a report which works fine....But the problem is that I want to create a graph according to the output displayed. I have set the parameter list (i.e the input) for 2 fields namely group and date range..

But when the graph is generated, it is not with in the date range which I have selected. Instead it displays entire data...But my report generated is within the date range

Regards,
Ashok Kumar M

Any suggestions???

Ashok:

It would help if you posted your code so we could examine it to determine what you are doing wrong.

Here is what I do:
From the report I add this to the style sheet.

TYPE=DATA,
COLUMN=N3,
FOCEXEC=REGSTATECHAINGRAPH(YRVAL=N1 PNAME=N3 STVAL=N2),
$

Then the graph program (REGSTATECHAINGRAPH)

FOCEXEC=REGSTATECHAINGRAPH(YRVAL=N1 PNAME=N3 STVAL=N2),

Then the graph program (REGSTATECHAINGRAPH) program has the following WHERE statements

WHERE ( PRODNAME EQ '&PNAME' );
WHERE ( YEAR EQ '&YRVAL' );
WHERE ( STATE EQ '&STVAL' );

In the graph program the parameters &PNAME, &YRVAL AND &STVAL correspond to the parameters (without the &) in the stylesheet of the report program.

FYI,

Ashok has resolved the issue as following.

The actual problem was..I was trying to generate the report based on the date range(from date to till date) and group(MFG Pro or BI), these are the selection criteria...

But when I had incorporated the graph to my report it generates with the entire data but not with repect to my report generated.

The solution or concept is very simple we need to pass the same parameter to the graph(i.e which were initially passed to run the report) ...finally graph accepts this parameter and generates accordingly.

Code for the same is as follows:

GRAPH FILE REMEDY_HPD_HELPDESK
HEADING
"Status Based on Priority "
SUM CNT.CASE_ID_ AS ''
ACROSS PRIORITY AS 'Priority'
BY STATUS
WHERE ASSIGNED_TO_GROUP_ EQ '&GroupName.(<LVS BI,LVS BI>,<LVS MFG Pro,LVS MFG Pro>;).GroupName.';
WHERE ( REMEDY_DATE GE '&StartDate' ) AND ( REMEDY_DATE LE '&EndDate' );

Thanks to Ashok for sharing with us. Hope this helps all. Smiler

Cheers,

Kerry
