I am attempting to execute a button action based on the values entered into two fields. I have the logic built for the condition but I'm not sure how to tell it to 'go ahead' after.
//Check Values
function chkflds() {
var item1 = document.getElementById('edit1').value;
var item2 = document.getElementById('combobox1').value;
if ( item1 == "" && item2 != "test" ) {
alert("Wrong Combination");
return false;
} else {
alert("YAY :( But does nothing"); ?????Not sure what to do here ?????
return true;
}
}
I'm not familiar with javascript, but it looks like the included code from the gui on a button says to execute whatever requests_list value is in that specific line.
I can do onclick="button1_onclick(this); chkflds();" and it works, but I don't want to execute both. I want to check first, if fields are not the correct combination, alert, else execute button.This message has been edited. Last edited by: <Kathryn Henning>,

Ok, that was easy. I finally guessed the correct combination.
OnExecute(button1);
Can close :-)
