Hi

Is there a way to have focus check the entire logic of the query before it runs it? I have a huge query with dozen sections that create data dump files... Usually it executes then half way down it find an error with something. Is there a way for it to check the entire code before executing it?

Thanks

Edgar

Running focus FOCUS 6.9.8 on Open VMS.

If you just want to check for the general coding errors, add
SET XRETRIEVAL = OFF on the first line of your query
this would not execute the query and just checks for the coding errors.

The only problem I've found with SET XRETRIEVAL=OFF is that the agent crashes when a complex program has MORE FILE - I cannot reproduce the error at the moment...

Very annoying, so hopefully this has been fixed in versions newer than 5.3.2.
